looking back on the latter half of 2025, its pretty damn clear how much i started degen travelling for events.

some thoughts on 2025's events
funnily enough, liella 6th was my first ever real "event". and hell was it real. i got thrown into the deep end when someone who wanted to buy my tickets bailed on me last minute. ended up all good though. the live was great, liella is damn good live. offkai after was pretty good too.
i havent properly done a retrospective or laid my thoughts out on aqours finale. i thought id do that after watching the documentary, but i still havent sat down and processed my thoughts for that. maybe some other time.
anisama was fun. guilty kiss and saint snow aside, i was told it was one of the best anisama's ever (id have expected it to be good for its 20th anniversary) and obviously i dont have any frame of reference for this claim, but god damn was it good. lots of 2010s era anisong which made up a bulk of my middle to high school years, so it was awesome.
the ikizu release event was funny as fuck because of a kujaku runner who got tackled by security. almost got hit by the guy myself as i was leaving the venue early.
had to leave early to pick up my rental car and ride on over to anchan's live. what a great live that was. i didnt listen to a single anchan song before this live and i was very pleasantly surprised. if i had to describe her (shittily), its like if i listened to ado and actually liked her songs. thats the vibe her songs give me.
after my roadtrip and a trip to hokkaido, i landed back in tokyo to attend aiscream. the tickets i had werent under my name, so i got booted off d1. pretty sad that one, cuz manatsu wa dare no mono was on the setlist (top 10 aqours song personally) and natsujump (top 10 u's song personally). ended up watching the stream in a saize with a friend who also got booted off. d2 thankfully i got in, and it was a great live, a super memorable one for me. holiholi surprised me so much (top 10 hasu song personally) and saint snow was insane energy. the offkai afterward was rowdy as hell, one of my most memorable offkais for sure.
jimoai matsuri was probably my favourite event of the year. it took me back to the older aqours livestream days. great vibes and numazu was as always super welcoming. i also want to do a proper retrospective here since this was when i watched the documentary for the first time (in the theatre!!!), but maybe some other time.
shuka's christmas live was probably the closest ive been to sleeping waiting for the live to start. got off the plane at 10am with 3 hours of sleep, dropped my shit off at my bnb and went straight to the venue. attended both of the sessions too, so it was full on from about 2pm to 8pm. was absolutely dead tired by the end of it. thanks to Ty, Tomoe and Hamasawa for hanging out as well.
so, i became an eventer. what a crazy year its been. aqours finale truly ruined me.
